Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism and empathy
- Dispatch police officers and emergency resources using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and communication equipment
- Coordinate with other agencies (fire, EMS) during multi-incident scenarios
- Provide critical information to officers in the field
- Remain calm and composed during high-pressure situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn specialized software
- No felony convictions and clean driving record
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Must be 18+ years old and US citizen
