Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communications
- Coordinate with police, fire, and medical personnel during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Provide clear, calm instructions to callers during emergencies
- Perform multi-tasking in high-pressure situations
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and procedural protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Valid California driver's license
- Clear speaking voice with excellent communication skills
- Ability to remain calm during high-stress situations
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
