Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via phone, radio, and digital systems
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units with precise location and incident details
- Maintain accurate logs of all communications using CAD/RMS software
- Provide critical life-saving instructions during medical emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Perform data entry and record maintenance with strict confidentiality
- Participate in ongoing training drills and scenario simulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to type 35+ WPM (typing test required)
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong multitasking and active listening skills
- Must be US citizen or authorized to work permanently
