Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Accurately dispatch police officers and emergency resources using CAD systems
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents
- Provide critical information to officers in the field and other agencies
- Remain calm under high-pressure situations while multitasking
- Operate radio systems, telephones, and emergency software
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and procedural protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts (nights, weekends, holidays)
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
