Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch appropriate law enforcement units with precise location and incident details
- Maintain accurate real-time status tracking of all field units
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communications
- Provide pre-arrival emergency medical instructions via phone
- Coordinate with other emergency agencies (Fire/EMS) during multi-agency responses
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Adhere to all federal, state, and departmental communication protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Ability to pass extensive background investigation and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- Proficiency with computer systems and multi-tasking abilities
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation skills
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure emergency situations
- No felony convictions and clean driving record
