Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls with accuracy and empathy
- Dispatch police units using CAD/RMS systems during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all communications
- Coordinate with EMS, Fire, and external agencies during multi-incident responses
- Operate radio equipment and specialized public safety software
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- US citizenship and valid NY driver's license
- Clear criminal background check and drug screen
- Minimum 40 WPM typing certification
- Ability to pass psychological evaluation and hearing test
- Strong multitasking and stress management skills
- Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluency in English (bilingual candidates encouraged)
