Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and business lines
- Dispatch police units using CAD systems and radio communication protocols
- Maintain accurate call logs and documentation in compliance with NIMS standards
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major emergencies
- Operate complex radio systems and emergency notification platforms
- Perform data entry and maintain confidential records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- US citizenship and Washington State residency
- Pass background check and polygraph examination
- Minimum 40 WPM typing proficiency (verified test required)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends/holidays
- Clear speaking voice with exceptional communication skills
- Basic computer literacy with ability to learn specialized software
- No felony convictions and clean driving record
