Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police units with precise location and situation details
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate with other emergency services (fire, EMS)
- Provide crisis intervention and caller guidance
- Operate radio equipment per FCC protocols
- Complete certification training modules
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to type 40+ WPM (will be tested)
- Clear criminal background check
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts (nights/weekends)
- US citizenship or legal resident status
- Pass psychological evaluation and drug screening
- Basic computer proficiency
