Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls using multi-line telephone systems
- Operate radio dispatch equipment to coordinate field units
- Enter and maintain data in Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Communicate effectively with law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Adhere to all FCC regulations and department protocols
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age at time of application
- U.S. citizenship and Texas residency
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and drug screening
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
