Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with speed and precision
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units to emergency scenes
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all communications
- Operate radio systems and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software
- Provide critical information to first responders during active incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major emergencies
- Remain composed and professional during high-stress situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- US citizenship and Florida residency
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- Fluency in English (bilingual Spanish strongly preferred)
- No felony convictions or dishonorable military discharges
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
