Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems with 95%+ accuracy
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents (fire, EMS, police)
- Maintain precise radio communication protocols for 24/7 operations
- Perform post-incident documentation and data entry in compliance with FCIC standards
- Train on E911 systems and multi-channel dispatching technologies
- Conduct pre-arrival instructions for callers during medical emergencies
- Participate in quarterly emergency scenario simulations and drills
- Collaborate with officers using de-escalation techniques during call screening
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- Pass criminal background check and polygraph examination
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/holidays
- Strong situational judgment and stress management skills
- Experience with CAD systems (e.g., Spillman, Intergraph) preferred
- FCIC/NLETS certification within first 6 months of employment
