Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire, and medical services
- Operate radio systems to dispatch officers and coordinate emergency responses
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and incidents
- Utilize CAD systems to input and update critical information in real-time
- Provide clear, concise instructions to callers during emergency situations
- Collaborate with multiple agencies during crisis scenarios
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and procedural protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Basic computer literacy and tech adaptability
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
