Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls and dispatch appropriate personnel
- Operate radio systems and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all communications
- Provide crisis intervention and multi-task during high-pressure situations
- Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies
- Utilize provided equipment to ensure efficient response protocols
- Participate in continuous training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to type 35+ WPM (verified during assessment)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm under emergency conditions
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn specialized software
- Valid Texas Driver's License (or obtain within 30 days)
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
