Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police/fire/EMS units with precise location and priority details
- Maintain accurate incident logs and radio communications
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Utilize NCIC/LEDS database for warrant/background checks
- Operate specialized communication equipment (radios, consoles)
- Provide crisis intervention to callers in emergency situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 40 WPM typing certification
- Ability to pass background investigation and polygraph
- Valid California driver's license
- US citizenship or legal resident status
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Clear speaking voice and strong active listening skills
- No felony convictions
