Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police units and emergency services to incident locations
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and activities
- Operate radio systems, computer-aided dispatch (CAD), and emergency notification tools
- Provide critical information to officers and other responding agencies
- Remain calm and professional during high-pressure crisis situations
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance emergency response protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be at least 18 years old with U.S. citizenship
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy and typing proficiency (35+ WPM)
- Exceptional communication skills in English and Spanish
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in fast-paced environments
- No prior dispatch experience necessary – training provided
