Responsibilities
- Answer emergency/non-emergency calls and dispatch police units
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio equipment
- Provide crisis intervention and multi-lingual support
- Maintain accurate incident records and reports
- Coordinate with EMS, Fire, and other agencies
- Work rotating shifts including nights/holidays
- Undergo continuous training on emergency protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- Strong multi-tasking and stress management skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- US citizenship and residency in Ohio
