Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS resources using advanced CAD/RAD systems
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Maintain precise incident documentation and radio communications
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Operate NCIC/NCIC databases for suspect/background checks
- Perform stress management techniques during high-pressure situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- U.S. citizenship and valid NC driver's license
- Ability to pass extensive background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer navigation
- Fluent in English (bilingual Spanish encouraged)
