Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls using multi-line phone systems
- Process and dispatch police/fire/EMS units using CAD software
- Provide clear, concise information to callers and field units
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Operate radio equipment and communication systems
- Complete state-mandated dispatcher certification training
- Work collaboratively with emergency response teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 35+ WPM (test required)
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be 18+ years old
- U.S. citizenship required
