Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and professionalism
- Operate radio communication systems to coordinate field units
- Utilize CAD software for incident documentation and resource deployment
- Maintain detailed logs and records of all communications
- Provide critical information to officers, firefighters, and medical personnel
- Adhere to strict protocols for crisis intervention and de-escalation
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners during major incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid California driver's license
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Clear speaking voice and exceptional hearing capabilities
