Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police units using CAD/RMS systems during high-pressure situations
- Maintain accurate incident logs and documentation
- Coordinate with fire, EMS, and other city agencies
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and communication equipment
- Provide crisis intervention and caller guidance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- US citizenship and valid Massachusetts driver's license
- Ability to type 35+ WPM (tested during application)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Exceptional communication and multitasking skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Age 18+ with clean criminal record
