Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD systems
- Coordinate with police, fire, and EMS agencies during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and radio communications
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support to callers
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) and mapping software
- Adhere to NIMS protocols and departmental procedures
- Participate in continuous training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Strong multitasking and decision-making abilities
- Experience with computer systems (MS Office, databases)
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Must be U.S. citizen or authorized to work
