Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems with provided equipment
- Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, and EMS personnel during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation using department-issued technology
- Operate radio equipment to dispatch units and relay critical information
- Assist in training exercises using simulation equipment provided by the department
- Adhere to FCC regulations and departmental protocols for emergency communications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Ability to type 40+ WPM (certification required post-hire)
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Experience with multi-tasking in high-pressure environments
- Basic computer proficiency (training provided on department systems)
- Fluent English communication skills (additional languages valued)
