Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls for service using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police officers and emergency services to incident locations
- Maintain accurate and detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Provide clear, concise instructions to callers during critical situations
- Coordinate with multiple agencies (fire, EMS, hospitals) during emergencies
- Monitor radio communications and maintain situational awareness
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain certification standards
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 18 years of age at time of hire
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass criminal background check and polygraph examination
- Proficient in computer applications and multi-tasking
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills in English
- Ability to remain calm and decisive during high-stress situations
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
