Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units to incident locations
- Provide clear instructions to callers during critical situations
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and records
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
- Operate radio equipment and emergency notification systems
- Adhere to NIMS and POST protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- US citizenship or legal resident status
- Valid California Driver's License
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Pass background check and polygraph examination
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Clear speaking voice and calm demeanor under pressure
- Basic computer proficiency
