Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls using state-of-the-art communication systems
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD)
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and incidents
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and specialized emergency equipment
- Provide critical information to first responders during high-stress situations
- Monitor surveillance systems and alarm activations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong typing skills (minimum 40 WPM)
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Basic computer literacy and tech adaptability
- Clear communication skills in English
- U.S. citizenship and valid Kentucky driver's license
- No felony convictions
