Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with empathy and precision
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio equipment
- Coordinate with police, fire, and medical responders during incidents
- Maintain detailed incident logs and documentation
- Provide critical information to officers in the field
- Manage multiple high-pressure situations simultaneously
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Ability to remain calm during emergencies
- Clear communication in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
- Valid Oregon driver's license
- No felony convictions
