Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency calls using CAD systems
- Dispatch appropriate police/fire/EMS units to incident locations
- Maintain accurate logs of all communications and activities
- Provide clear instructions to callers during critical situations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during large-scale incidents
- Operate radio equipment and other communication systems
- Complete thorough incident documentation and reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Strong multitasking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
