Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism and urgency
- Dispatch police officers using CAD systems during critical incidents
- Provide pre-arrival instructions for medical emergencies
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and actions
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during large-scale events
- Operate radio systems and specialized communication equipment
- Enter and update information in RMS databases
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 40 WPM typing proficiency
- Ability to remain calm during high-pressure situations
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Proficiency with computer systems and software
- Valid California driver's license
- U.S. citizenship or legal work authorization
- No felony convictions
