Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls with exceptional speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units via radio/computer systems
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Operate CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) software efficiently
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during critical incidents
- Provide clear instructions to callers in emergency situations
- Monitor surveillance feeds and radio communications
- Participate in continuous skills training and drills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (tested during interview)
- Proficient in Windows OS and basic computer skills
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Fluent English with clear verbal communication
