Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Operate radio systems and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software for police, fire, and EMS
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation in compliance with protocols
- Provide clear, concise instructions to officers and emergency responders during critical incidents
- Remain calm under extreme pressure while managing multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously
- Utilize mapping systems to provide precise location details for rapid response deployment
- Participate in continuous training to enhance communication and crisis management skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED required)
- U.S. citizenship and minimum age of 18
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Exceptional verbal/written communication skills with clear diction
- Proficient computer literacy with data entry speed of 40+ WPM
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- Must be available for rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal history
