Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls, prioritize incidents, and dispatch appropriate police/fire/EMS units
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident records in CAD systems
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support to callers
- Operate radio systems and specialized emergency equipment
- Execute evacuation protocols and disaster response procedures
- Train on advanced communication technologies and emergency protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age
- U.S. citizenship and Ohio residency
- Pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Clear speaking voice and exceptional listening skills
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts including nights/holidays
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
