Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls using Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
- Coordinate resources with police, fire, EMS, and other public safety agencies
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and radio logs
- Provide critical information to field units during active incidents
- Operate multiple communication channels simultaneously
- Execute evacuation orders and crisis management protocols
- Train on NJSPIN network procedures and state compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 90% accuracy
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background investigation
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal history
- Successful completion of psychological evaluation and polygraph test
