Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Operate multi-channel radio systems to coordinate police, fire, and EMS units
- Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems for real-time incident tracking
- Maintain accurate records of all communications in compliance with protocols
- Provide critical information to field units during emergency situations
- Manage multiple simultaneous communications channels under pressure
- Collaborate with other agencies during multi-jurisdictional incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age at time of hire
- Valid Arizona Driver's License or ability to obtain within 30 days
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work
- Pass thorough background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- No felony convictions or disqualifying misdemeanor offenses
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
