Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio equipment
- Coordinate with officers, fire departments, and EMS during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed incident logs and documentation
- Provide life-saving instructions via phone during emergencies
- Monitor multiple communication channels simultaneously
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and protocol standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities
- Experience handling high-stress situations preferred
- Basic computer proficiency and tech-savviness
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
