Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and empathy
- Dispatch police units, fire services, and medical responders during emergencies
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents
- Operate radio systems, CAD software, and emergency notification platforms
- Provide critical information to officers in the field using established protocols
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Remain calm and composed under extreme pressure during crisis situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 18 years of age at time of application
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Clear criminal background and drug-free record
- Valid Florida driver's license
- US citizenship or legal resident status
- Pass written exam, background check, and psychological evaluation
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
