Responsibilities
- Process 911 emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police officers and emergency services efficiently
- Maintain accurate real-time incident tracking via CAD systems
- Coordinate with fire, EMS, and other city agencies during critical incidents
- Operate radio communication equipment following strict protocols
- Document call details and incident reports with meticulous accuracy
- Participate in continuous training to enhance emergency response skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean record
- U.S. citizenship and Ohio residency at time of hire
- Proficiency in computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems
- Exceptional stress management and multitasking abilities
- Clear speaking voice and strong verbal communication skills
