Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate incident documentation
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during crises
- Operate radio equipment per FCC protocols
- Perform data entry and record management
- Adhere to departmental SOPs at all times
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
- Typing speed: 40+ WPM (tested)
- Clear criminal background check
- Ability to multitask under pressure
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Must pass psychological evaluation
