Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls for police, fire, and medical services
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio equipment
- Provide clear, concise instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Coordinate with multiple agencies (police, fire, EMS) during emergencies
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and records
- Perform resource allocation and unit deployment tracking
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- US citizenship and valid Texas driver's license
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in computer systems and multitasking under pressure
- Clear communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish preferred)
- No felony convictions or domestic violence convictions
