Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with empathy and efficiency
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio equipment
- Coordinate with police, fire, and EMS units during incidents
- Accurately document call details and incident reports
- Maintain situational awareness during high-stress situations
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers in emergencies
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Indiana driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Basic computer proficiency (Windows OS)
