Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and CAD software (equipment provided)
- Dispatch police units using standardized protocols and clear communication
- Maintain detailed incident logs and digital records
- Coordinate with other agencies during critical incidents
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support
- Participate in continuous skills development and certification training
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- Fluency in English and Spanish (bilingual preferred)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/holidays
- Strong multitasking and decision-making skills under pressure
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
