Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional speed and accuracy
- Operate radio systems to coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses
- Utilize CAD systems to document incident details and maintain real-time situational awareness
- Provide critical pre-arrival instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Maintain precise logs of all communications and activities
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams during multi-jurisdictional incidents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and departmental procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age at time of hire
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Clear speaking voice with excellent diction and pronunciation
- Proficient in typing (minimum 35 WPM) and computer literacy
- Ability to remain calm and decisive during high-stress situations
- Valid Texas driver's license with acceptable driving record
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
