Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls and prioritize emergency responses with exceptional accuracy
- Operate CAD systems and radio communications for police/fire/rescue units
- Maintain detailed incident logs and digital records in compliance with state regulations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support to callers
- Train on NIMS protocols and emergency management systems
- Participate in continuous skill development and scenario-based drills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college preferred
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid Alaska driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Experience in customer service or high-pressure environments
- Basic computer proficiency with MS Office applications
- Clear speaking voice with strong diction and pronunciation
- Must be available for rotating shifts including nights/weekends
