Responsibilities
- Receive, prioritize, and dispatch emergency/non-emergency calls for police, fire, and medical services
- Operate radio systems, computer-aided dispatch (CAD), and emergency notification technologies
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation in compliance with protocols
- Provide critical information to field units and coordinate multi-agency responses
- Remain calm and professional during high-stress emergency situations
- Participate in continuous training programs for certification and skill development
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years customer service experience
- Minimum 40 WPM typing proficiency with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain POST certification
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
