Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines with precision and empathy
- Operate CAD/RMS systems to dispatch officers, fire, and EMS resources efficiently
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and radio communications protocols
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents and natural disasters
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions to callers in emergency situations
- Train on E911 certification and Kentucky state dispatch regulations
- Participate in continuous skills development through scenario-based training
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 18 years of age with valid Kentucky driver's license
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to remain calm under pressure
- Basic computer proficiency and typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- No felony convictions and clean driving record
- Experience in customer service or high-stress environments preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
