Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls with empathy and accuracy
- Operate CAD/RMS systems to dispatch police units
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents
- Coordinate with other agencies (EMS, Fire) during multi-incident scenarios
- Provide critical information to officers in the field
- Adhere to NENA and department protocols
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Clear speaking voice and excellent communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency (Windows OS)
- Ability to work rotating shifts nights/weekends
- No felony convictions (background check required)
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license
- Ability to pass psychological evaluation
