- Process emergency calls, prioritize incidents, and dispatch appropriate police units
- Maintain accurate real-time communication with officers, EMS, and fire departments
- Operate CAD/RMS systems and radio equipment during critical incidents
- Document detailed call logs and incident reports per department protocols
- Provide crisis intervention and calming instructions to callers in distress
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during large-scale emergencies
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- US citizenship and valid New York State driver's license
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
