Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and logs
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide pre-arrival emergency instructions to callers
- Monitor radio communications and alert protocols
- Participate in continuous scenario-based training drills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum 40 WPM typing proficiency
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Experience with multi-line phone systems or CAD software
- Strong situational judgment and calm demeanor under pressure
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts/nights/weekends
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
- US citizenship or permanent residency
