Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire, and medical services
- Operate radio communication systems to dispatch appropriate units
- Maintain accurate logs of all calls and activities
- Provide clear instructions to callers during emergency situations
- Coordinate with other agencies and personnel during multi-incident responses
- Utilize CAD systems for efficient tracking and reporting
- Participate in continuous training to enhance skills and knowledge
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in computer applications and typing (40+ WPM)
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident alien
