Responsibilities
- Answer emergency/non-emergency calls with calm professionalism
- Dispatch appropriate units using CAD systems
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident reports
- Coordinate with EMS/Fire/Police during critical incidents
- Operate radio equipment and multi-line phone systems
- Provide critical information to first responders
- Assist in training new dispatchers
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 18+ years old
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 35+ WPM
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Clear communication skills (verbal/written)
- Basic computer proficiency
- Valid driver's license
