Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via phone, radio, and digital systems
- Dispatch appropriate police/fire/EMS units using CAD software and radio protocols
- Maintain accurate incident logs and database entries in compliance with state regulations
- Provide critical pre-arrival instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents and disasters
- Operate NCIC/FCIC systems for criminal background checks
- Monitor alarm systems and CCTV feeds for proactive threat detection
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- Ability to pass multi-tasking simulation assessment
- Valid Florida driver's license (Class E minimum)
- U.S. citizenship and Florida residency required
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights/holidays
- Basic computer proficiency with Windows OS
